After rejecting Felix Tshisekedi as DR Congo’s new head of state, the Rwandan General Paul Kagame made a U-Turn. Kagame announced that Tshisekedi is the best leader not only for Congo but for the entire continent of Africa. The Rwandan ruler immediately invited Tshisekedi to join the US$400 million project to exploit methane gas from Lake Kivu — to which Tshisekedi declined. Tshisekedi said the gas project was too smelly.
