Christopher Aine was arrested by Uganda police Force Flying squad today morning in Kyanja a Kampala suburb.

“Christopher Aine kidnapped by Uganda Police ForceFlying Squad. #Gestapo #FreeAine,” tweeted Mayanja Nkangi, Go Forward spokesperson.

She further tweeted that;  “Picked up 6am from Kyanja. No arrest warrant. what goes around comes around”

The arrest comes at the backdrop of a clash between Mbabazi and Museveni supporters in Ntungamo municipality on Sunday evening when the latter was holding a campaign in the area.

When Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura visited Ntungamo earlier this week, he vowed to arrest Amama Mbabazi Militia.

“If we can disband Kakooza Mutale, how can we let others have such militias, we will arrest them, Mbabazi must disband his militia,” Kayihura said.

On Tuesday, Uganda police Force surrounded Go Forward pressure group offices located in Nakasero belonging to Amama Mbabazi.

Josephine Nkangi said police officers in uniform were removed but plain clothed officers remained lurking around their offices past 10:00pm.

Mbabazi is expected to campaign today in Isingiro district.
