The Rwandan Government launched a “sophisticated cyber-attack” against the Inyenyeri News which has been shut down and taken offline for nearly a week. This led to some political hyenas to speculate that Inyenyeri news has been compromised by the Kigali regime.

The Inyenyeri administration would like to state categorically that we have not been compromised and will never be compromised by a corrupt and murderous regime of the Kagame dictatorial leadership. We still hold our core values of honesty, reliable, impartial and responsible reporting and publication.

We know very clearly that the attack was sanctioned by the Rwandan government. Given the scope of the attack, it was clearly the work of a state actor. We once again inform the readers of Inyenyeri News that our principles have not been compromised and we shall continue our services as normal and we warn the Rwandan government that the Cyber-attack is a criminal offence and will be held accountable for all these crimes in the near future.
