The GLHRL condemns policies that will make Rwandans landless
In the so called good governance RPF policy of getting leaders to the grassroots known as umudugudu to listen to the concerns of the local population, all RPF leaders have been tasked to explain how a common person could get money to rent his own land.
Exactly this could weed RPF out of Rwanda if the opposition are to capitalise on that, Many Rwandans have told VOA that the RPF polices are meant to take their own land since the majority cannot afford to rent back their own land.
How could this government say that it is working for the people when it’s taking their own land and making them landless in their own country? One of the affected person who requested the Greatlakes Human rights link to remain anonymous asked.
This is the government that is claiming having 100% support from the people who have urged president Kagame to seek another term after his constitutional term expires in 2017
We urge the human rights groups to help many Rwandans, who have been made landless by these RPF policies but equally the Rwandan government to seek revenue from other sources rather than the land that have the back born of Rwandans for generations.
