When  the chairman of the African Union is responsible  for the death of at least six million Africans , has ordered the murder of thousands of his compatriots and the assassination of at least three of his fellow heads of states , it is not an understatement to say that things  have fallen apart for Africa.

When the future of Africa is placed  in the hands of a notorious bandit , an illegitimate president who outrageously mocks the very institutions that uphold the integrity of the African people; namely the African Court, it is not an exaggeration to say things have deteriorated for us as a people.

When we sit back and  quietly watch the Neocolonial enemies of our people credit  and applaud the red carpet walks of their errand boy , as he parades to and from his looting expeditions , backstabbing fellow African leaders  on the way , not to mention the chaos trails of proxy wars and hunger he must leave behind the better to offer his help in stabilizing the savages he sells himself as having transcended , we become culprits in conspiring against our motherland!

This is the Age of Infamy! The age Age of the worst, an age where people can look back at the Mobutu years fondly in comparison.

But this also being the post information era, it is also the age of  realization because the worst has already happened .

It is time for Africa to look forward . We as a continent and as a people deserve better.

We cannot continue to accept  the same dupery one generation after the other.

We cannot continue to tolerate the treason of  these brothers , who betray the cause of freedom  that our forefathers have given their lives for .

We must look forward. We must uphold the idea of a dignified Africa.

We must put an end to the era of dictatorship and honor our people with their right  to democracy.

It is time to do right by Africa  , end this era of lies  and bring back hope, mutual respect among our peoples and lasting peace  because, even though the likes of Paul Kagame do not understand this  , as Chinua Achebe said it so well, “ a man who makes trouble for others makes trouble for himself”.
