In the footsteps of Danish MP Rosa Lund, UK MPs have paid a courtesy visit to isolated oposition politician Victoire Ingabire.

However, per Rwanda Correctional Services (RCS) , prisons are off limits with exceptions to be made on special request. Understandably, tentative requests by CHOGM visitors will remain pending until they have left the country. The regime does not want its donors to see it’s ugliness up close. As they say: “The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons.”
