The Untold Stories: Treat the cause not the Symptom, hypocrisy and political games in the Congo Conflict.
Dear lovers of the untold stories, in one of the Rwandan government sponsored news papers The New times on the 8th of June , the above mentioned paper run a story(FDRL MUST DISARM – US). The paper argues that the US has ordered the removal of the FDLR and their defendants from Congo. The people of Congo have suffered for almost two decades now, in the presence of one of the biggest deployment of the UN Forces in a single country in the UN history since its inception 6 decades ago.
What have they achieved?
Sometimes the UN are described as tourists in the jungles of one of the biggest and potentially rich but historically poorly mismanaged by both colonial and post colonial leaders. There is no doubt that, the big powers in the world know the source and cause of the conflict in that big wealth country.
They (UN and US) have the most highly sophisticated technology in the World, they know where these people are hiding, they know where their leaders live, who sponsors them, but they keep playing politics. Whom are they telling to flush FDRL out of Congo? To whom it may concern to flush out FDRL and their dependents from Congo! Are they really concerned with the Congo suffering?
Whereas it is true that FDRL is part of the Congo problem, the biggest cause is its wealth and  it’s exacerbated by  all these bandits who operate there and the  indifference of the international community on the African people. When Genocide in Rwanda was taking place, the same arguments were always on the Menu of the meetings of the Security Council, until no one was left to tell a story.
The US and the whole international community know very well the causes of the conflict in Congo, they have the potential to stop the suffering of the Congo people, they have the Drones and all the best science hard ware to see all the players of the Congo conflict but they just ignore and keep talking while the people of Congo are perishing in the hands of both state and non-state sponsored atrocities.
Never again to see human suffering happening when the international community stands by!
Almost 6 decades ago, the international community vowed not to allow genocide and crimes against humanity taking place again after the Jews were slaughtered and gassed in the barbaric manner in Europe. The international community has not lived up to its promise; the same atrocities that characterized the Holocaust have happened elsewhere in the world at the watch and hands of the most funded organization in the world.
Disorganized OrganizationÂ
As I have mentioned above UN, is the most resourced institution in the world, but the most disorganized organization. It is marred by its rules of engagement, indeed, the powers of Veto by the big 5 powers on the Security Council will always cripple the organization and impair it from the proper functioning. The big 5, (UK, FRANCE, CHINA, RUSSIA and USA) don’t use the Veto in an impartial and equitable atmosphere but rather in their political and economic interests.
It is therefore, high time that US and her allies stopped playing political games and save the Congolese and the human kind from further suffering. Enough is enough and let’s stick to the MOTO of the UN, NEVER AGAIN.

I like your paper, but you seemed to take one side. How about the Kagame regime which killed many people than the tutsi genocide. If you want read the story on this website about many hutu disappear between 94-2000.
Do you think the game in the DRC is not known? Kagame is killing and stealing. That is main goal.
Be informed please?
