Open letter to the President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Museveni Kaguta and First lady Janet Kataaha Museveni
I am Rugema Kayumba Rwandan national living in Norway as refuge.
My reason of writing to you it is the concerns of my fellow refugees of Rwandan origin that have lived to be murdered in your country that is known for hosting the biggest number of refugees in the world as per UNHCR report 1.2 refugees and asylums.
Your Excellence and our beloved first lady I present to you our sadness as people who were once refugees so that you can help us with General Kale Kayihura’s police serving Kigali regime to abuse refugees rights of protection which is the policy of your land.
Your Excellence we know it’s not your policy of handing over people who are running for their lives to be killed but it is politically motivated venture to undermine your refugees hosting policy.
_We are sure that it’s not your policy of allowing people to be killed into your country or to be handed to their killers when you call investors and tourists who may be scared by such human rights abuse.
_ Its only Rwandan refugees your excellence that has been rounded massively by Ugandan police and OPM officers and Rwandan officials forced into tracks and those who refused were shoot while the sick ,children were stepped and died in the eyes of those who were supposed to protect them and all this was done to damage Ugandan image both at home and internationally.
_ Your Excellence and mother of the nation many parents were separated from their children despite of being brutally killed.
_it’s over seven years of denied justice when our fellow nationals and refugees, Africans and world citizens were killed ,others forced back home and many were slaughtered and dumped in river rweru .
_ The business of killing and deportation of our fellow refugees didn’t stop in 2010 but it continued up to November of 2017.
Your Excellence if our tormentors were selling us as slaves we could have had hope that may be after generations we could be out of captivity like Israel in Egypt or our people in America.
_ Mother of the nation allow me to tell you how Rwandan refugees children are living denials in refugee camps in Ugandan with no education.
_ These are world citizens though they are hate by the current regime but they are the future and today of Africa and Uganda.
_ I kindly call for your help of protection of these threatened community which can add value to the country the way Joseph did in Egypt.
I call for security of those who are following justice of their fellow refugees into your country.
Your Excellence and Madam First lady we are not refugees not because we hate our beloved heritage but just because we have dictator who prefers killing other than engaging critical thinkers into dialogue.
Here i list of our fellow refugees who were killed or forced back to their tormenting regime in Kigali.
_ Though Uganda is the most hosting country of refugees in south of saharah but it has been different to the Rwandan refugees in camps where fellow refugees are hosted.
_ Your Excellence and Madam First lady I appeal for your protection and advocacy as panafricanists and refugees hosting national leaders.
