Sandrine1-1024x662 (2)As Miss AfriCanada 2013, Sandrine would like to support girls’ education, especially for the refugee women and girls in Africa.  In most circumstances refugee women and girls are denied their right to education.  These women might have been raped and war might have taken their loved ones, their home and left them with trauma, but they still have determination and hope for the future. Women do not need to be empowered but they just need to be enabled.  The road to be enabled is through education.  We cannot talk about development, peace, justice, poverty reduction, maternity, human rights, or any form of progress of a society without the education of girls.
