The Untold Stories: Kagame’s Political Cunning has left the Rwandan Franc Stumbling
In unprecedented announcement the government of Rwanda has admitted that the Rwandan Franc is losing stability and is stumbling against the Dollar. The Rwandan Franc is depreciating almost every day not only against the dollar but also other international currencies. The government has disputed her bad policies and of course the withdraw of the donor hard currency as the fundamental cause of the Rwandan Franc’s depreciation and as usual the Governor of Rwanda National Bank has been instructed to tell the Rwandans and the world that the cause of the instability of the Rwandan currency is the increase of the demand of the hard currency by the traders to finance the country’s imports.
Indeed, the government has argued that Rwanda’s foreign exchange reserves also slid to four months of imports from six months in June, this year, affecting the franc as it fell against the dollar. While the ordinary Rwandan and government employees have been instructed to contribute in all the RPF direct and indirect sectors, the few individuals, Ministers and their Pharaoh have continued to enjoy trips abroad in the name of organizing the Agaciro creature.
This morning on Voice of America (Kinyarwanda/Kirundi programme) the Kagame Intore Ivete Nyombayire who lives in New York and one of the organizers of this called Rwandan Day that was held in Boston Massachusetts in USA shamelessly or indifferently defended her pay master’s murderous regime by saying that Rwanda is the most peaceful country in the region. What a wrong yardstick or comparison!
Yvette is very insensitive on Rwandan issues or she is deliberately blind folding her eyes in disregard of the many Rwandans who have lost their relatives in the hands of Kagame regime. Has Yvette asked Grace Ruzindanda who lost her father Maj. Alex Ruzindana how she feels? Her father had even retired from the active military services, never the less the Kagame regime murdered him in the cold blood and up to the present day his body has never been found.
What about the children of the former Kagame comrades who were stripped off Rwandan Citizenship by canceling their passports just because they happen to be children of what Kagame perceives to be political opponents. Has she forgotten that Rugugiro Ayabatwa was very instrumental in funding RPF during the struggle and now is hunted like any prey for a hungry meat eater? Interestingly she was debating Rwandan security with the former Minister of security Theobald Rwaka who was framed by Kagame and his former Cyangungu Prefect Munyakabera that he presided over illegal meetings in caves in his home village Bukunzi.
Has Yvette asked the families of former Army Chief of Staff Kayumba Nyawmwasa the situation in which they are now in, in a country their son and relatives fought for? Is she aware of Kayumba Nyamwasa’s brother LT COL. Rugigana Ngabo who is incarcerated in 1930 simply because he happens to be a brother of Kayumba?
It is unfortunate that, Yvette is serving a person that she does not know; President Kagame is a cunning man that can burn your house and immediately calls the fire brigade. Furthermore, the money that was used to fund all the Kagame delegation and all the People from North America and Europe would have been used to fund the many projects that have been put on hold because the donors have suspended or withdrawn their Aid.
It is also tragic that many business people who did not want to go to Boston were forced to foot their own bills, and the business spy masters would do everything possible to undermine any business person who will not heed to this pressure. It is in this context that many business people had to go seek loans in banks irrespective of the existing loans they had in banks.
Is Yvete suggesting that Agaciro and reconciliation means picking Christopher Bazivamo and Rwarakabije and give them posts which they cannot even control and call it reconciliation. Is Yvvete aware that Rwarakabije has never attended any conference outside Rwanda? For her information if there is a conference outside Rwanda, Mary Gahonzire who is the deputy of Rwarakabije will attend.
Yvette and other people who are sucking the Rwandan blood should not be preaching peace and reconciliation to the real people who know RPF from the infancy to the present day. Those sucking the Rwandan blood should also know that they have been responsible for the stumbling Rwandan franc because the more they drain the more the financial stress on the Rwandan currency. If my sister Yvette doesn’t know president Kagame, she should read RPF history and ask herself simple question, how many RPF historicals are still active in the party? Every person in RPF has his/her own day, the day for any person like my sister Yvette is not far.

“being cut the funds from out is the cause of loss of value for our franc” yes of course why do say that is the bad governemet? why you contradict your self? but i think you know the right cuase of the problem. if the whites cut the funds to your country, is the must a song you MURUNGI can sing?
or it is a sad news tov your country ? If i were yoU i would have changed my name to UMUBI ( I MEAN BAD GIRL, INKUNGUZI, WISHIMIRA KO BENEWABO BABAKUYEHO INKUNGA.)
But I am asking myself the main purpose of this web site, is it to try to sow discord among Rwandans or simple to make the people hate their government ? My friend UMURUNGI try to be more objective and make a point in what you write. Is it the first time you hear a currency depreciating against another one ? Take a look at how the EURO has been depreciating against the DOLLAR and vice versa, the dollar against the Japanese yen. Before writing those nonsenses try to make a research. BURI GIHE mushaka amaturufu ariko byaranze, ngaho ngo u Rwanda barwimye inkunga, ngaho RWIGEMA ni inde wamwishe none bigeze no kuri Currency koko. You should feel at unease when your country is suffering or propose solutions. KEEP YOUR VUVUZELA ON AND LOUD may be people like you shall listen to you !!!!!!!!! NTA MU NNYO NTA MUKWAHA – NTA MURUNGI NTA MARARA
Ingoma yigitugu ya Kagame ikomeje kubura abavugizi ahabwo itunga abatukanyi, abicanyi, abarozi, abateranya, nabayobya! ibaze ngo nta nyannyo, ntakwaha! Plse Gahanga its bad atmost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Read the contents of Murungi vs Evyte and VOA dont abuse because you are minimising your self.
Ngo ingoma ya KAGAME yabuze abavugizi. nonese mwe murimo kuvugira bande?
abantu bishimira ko ifaranga ryigihugu cyabo ryataye agaciro raa!!!!
LET ME GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE, BURUNDI FRANCS IT’S EXCHANGE ON DOLLARS IS 1550 FRW WHICH IS EQUIVALENT ALMOST 800 RWANDAN FRANCS, OUR CURENCY IS 640 PER DOLLAR.
THOUGH IT IS NOT GOOD RESULT BUT IF CAN COMPARE THAT DIFFERENCE YOU CAN FIND THAT THE PROBLEM IS NOT CUTOOF OF FUNDS ONLY BUT IS AGLOBAL PROBLEM. ARIKO MWIGIYE HE?
Bamunyangire ntacyo muzashyikaho. Murungi and her die hards wont sow their divisionism and ill propagandas to our motherland. kagame is the right leader for Rwanda, if you dont like his vision, goals and achievments , show Rwandans what you have done. Those few individuals like RNC, UMUGAMBANYI”UMURUNGI” RUGEMA, MARARA, FDLR……………., will in noway brain wash 98% of Rwandans who are happy with the way are governed. Our franc is more stable than most are in globe. The white man say that if you cant beat him then you better join him, my advice to you is that repent of your evil deeds, leave kagame in question and think of new inovations to win your daily bread. Please leave Rwandans alone we dont want to hear your false accusations. We are a peaple with clear v4sion, direction and dignity. If u dont like president kagame go to hell like where u are. We are tired of your nosense and baseless stupid accusations. We dont want fugitives like you to determine the fate and destiny of the majority free Rwandans.
Dear Gahanga, i really support your point. Currency depreciation can happen to every country. However, i kindly beg you to always express your good opinios without hurling abuses to these people. Being rude has nothing to do with or to add to your excellent point of view. Just ttry to express your stand humbly nkuko nubundi umunyarwanda nyawe arangwa nikinyabupfura. Your views are really worth reading!
Rugaju its bad for sure to of that type to call us abagambanyi! Comparing us with FDLR! Never will I be like FDLR and ur boss u diffend works with them. And u are saying that we are brain washing people how brother Rugaju? You mean Umurungi to have tabled FRW depreciation against doller she becomes atraitor ? Ariko Rwanda! So you people you just want 11millions of people Rwanda has to think like you or else nibahaduyi nibipinga mizi, ni FDLR nabagambanyi burwababyaye? Ubwoharyango murashaka iki? Duceceke! Don’t ask don’t tell! Ok do u think such policy is sustainable? Ariko finally abandi nshobora kuaba ntabazi kuko abantu bahindura amazina , ariko sindumugambanyi kuRwabyaye, sindi na FDLR si|zzaba nakimwe muribyo! Kandi Murungi na Marara nabo sabagambanyi ahubwo waba wowe nabandi murengera ibyomutemera mushobora kuba muribo
@rugaju and @Gahanga, I really had developed respect for your standard of arguing and debating until what I am just reading. Why have you suddenly become so abusive and heated up? Might it be that your pay master is not happy with you good, but rather acceptable, way of defending the status quo? Where in the article does Umurungi state that she is happy for what is befalling our country Rwanda? How does pointing out one of the many possible causes of a problematic situation Rwanda finds itself in become or even be interpreted as rejoicing that our people are in hardship? Who doesn’t know the truth …..?
I think we need to reason better and be smart enough to understand the difference between celebrating a problem and accepting that there is a problem. Those who deny or refute that there is a problem are more likely to celebrate so that it can be wished away and more importantly, though sadly, never find a genuine solution or mechanisim to improve it. On the other hand, conventional wisdom in problem solving stresses the fact that identifying and admitting that a problem exists is the most vital but difficult step in any problem solving process. Therefore basing on this universally accepted wisdom, Umurungi is actually doing a far better service to Rwanda and all of us banyarwanda. The ba “byafandimo”, as once Museveni refered to some prominent Ugandans, of Rwanda who clap and celebrate even when things are in dire situations have no moral ground to criticise her.
In Europe where @Gahanga mentions the Euro depreciating, everyone admits that there is a problem and even heads have rolled. You all know the fate of Kagame’s darling, Sarkozy, what about in Italy, Spain, Greece even in Ireland. Heads have rolled and people have rightly taken responsibility. In UK upto now Labour is being bashed for the mess in the Economy. In America it is a key election point. I don’t see how @Gahanga can reconcile his bashing for Umurungi and the events I have mentioned where he/she bases his argument. We should hold the government accountable for any resulting hardship caused by either its wrong policies or misguided advetures. You can bash the Donor community or not but on this particular issue in my honest objective opinion, I think their actions are spot-on. More to that, for them their governments are accountable to their tax payers who see the sufferring in Eastern Congo. The solution is simple, check the misguided adventures and come clean then aid flows again, ofcourse losing face. OR , go on with you adventures and our people, innocent as they are, suffer. The choices are very clear and I think that is what Umurungi, some people are attacking and abusing, was trying to state.
The Rwandans have a solution because in most countries, despite the bitting recession, foreign aid is Ring fenced. Lets not put the blame where it doesn’t exist, like they have been blaming the UN Experts even when Senior American officials have on several occasions stated that the have concrete evidence of their own. Harya gukunda chane, nu guhuma no gupfa amatyi? I believe we are not making love with our country and our leaders, but rather are damn serious!!!!! Bingu Wa Muthalika was a more darling of the west until …….. RIP. You all know what followed just in a short time.
God Bless Rwanda!!!!
@SHISHOZA, I give credit to your analysis, but as is always the case we can’t agree on all issues. The first thing I don’t have love to anyone because he or she gives me something or he or she is whatever I don’t know or care about, I simply appreciate people based on what they do or have achieved in life.
The credit I give to our President is simply because he managed to do a lot for his country, in this short time, considering all the challenges he was inherited with after the war, even though he might have committed much wrong things. But don’t forget that when you are tasked with leading more than 2 persons it becomes a challenge, universally you can’t satisfy them all, thus taking decisions that take care of the majority of them or what you think fits them, sometimes without having to compromise, this is the meaning of a VETO POWER, which is sometimes used abusively like what we see at the UN. This is because the process of trying to find compromise sometimes takes long to finish and you find that the entities which are concerned with the outcome of that process might be suffering too much than a unilateral action results.
My dear friend, the reason why I don’t appreciate the way UMURUNGI analyses the situation is because she doesn’t input some other factors rather putting all the blame on one single person; KAGAME, she might be right but not all along. Let us take an example where she says that donors did cut off their funds simply because of our government bad politics as far as Congo issue is concerned, frankly speaking, without any bias if the west was right in what they do, do you think Israel deserves all the aid it receives from the American taxpayer money, with live actions it does against Palestinians ? why this selective politics ? Another issue is that they did cut their funds simply after the group of expert of the UN published the report, I repeat published the report. Whom was the report aimed at ? Rwanda. Was Rwanda concerted before they took the decision to publish the report, which would mean that Rwanda gave its views ? Again the report was leaked to the public, now imagine how can wise people base their decisions on a leaked report, do you think this is realistic ? Me I don’t. We all know some if not all processes through which people go to produce reports, you consult all people involved, first of all one by one, and if possible both in the same place so that you get accurate information, this was never the case with the so called UN expert group, we know all the flaws found in the report like the military identity card used as one of proof that our forces are in Congo, which was found lately to be fake. and you base yourself on these kinds of things to take decisions, my friend this means you are biasing, try to be objective, I know one book which has unquestionable contents ‘BIBLE’ but for others you have right to question the contents and authors. They simply want to kneel us.
Now the view I share with our President is very simple, take a look at the DRC issues you will find its own population complaining about why their government is heavily involved in M23 problem only more than other rebel groups. How many rebel groups are on DRC soil ? a lot, to the point that FDLR taxes population and set time for labor, do you think this is a state or a failed state.
Let us agree this is their internal affairs, but they should not point their fingers against us for their internal problems, who knew before about Rwandan Special Forces ? None, why ? Why isn’t KABILA, himself, accusing Rwanda directly ? But the west keeps on shouting, is it because the west cares too much about Congo more than its President ? or there is something else. On UN General Assembly Kabila said that Congo is victim of ‘AN EXTERNAL INFLUENCE’ he didn’t name Rwanda is it because he doesn’t know that Rwanda exists but Rynders takes stage and says Rwanda is involved in Congo and there is no political will to solve the problem, what arrogance ? See what the government is involved in with the ICGL, you will judge yourself.
When u directly insult the President you are insulting the peaple he represents, you call him all bad abusive insults meaning that you indirectly insult Rwandans and you inclusive. You are painting Rwanda with bad ideologies, you are turnishing its image on baseless accusations, you are insulting our motherland. Its said that birds of the same feathers flock together and indeed all your manupulative insults are directed to our government and are not different from any individual who tend to oppose the way Rwanda is run. We arent wrong If we put you under one umbrella because you disgrace yourself, your relatives, your society and your motherland. You are ashameless peaple with the intent of destroying what Rwandans have built and i/we will never ever give you our ears, we are a peaple determined to build our nation no matter what challenging obstacles we may face. Earn your bread with dignity dear lost Rwandans.
When I first saw this title The Untold Stories: Kagame’s Political Cunning has left the Rwandan Franc Stumbling on google I just whent and bookmark it.This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
