If Kagame  hoped that Victoire Ingabire s wrongful imprisonment would  change anything to her resilience , he was certainly met with  bitter disappointment ! As soon as she stepped out of the prison walls  we could all see that the 8 years she spent incarcerated had not subdued her into bowing down to  Kagame ‘s iron fist rule, on the contrary!

Kagame is understandably upset . He is dismayed ,  he cannot believe the nerve of our sister Ingabire! You only have to look at how agitated he gets when he talks about her . He cannot even bring himself to say her name . He gets sweaty and  jittery, Kagame is embarrassed and terribly frustrated by these women ( Ingabire and Rwigara) who succeed in exposing him for the insecure dictator he is.

He must have hoped against all hope that prison would break her  like it has broken so many of our compatriots that he has wrongfully imprisoned .

Ingabire made it clear from the get go that  she was ready for round two and that must have stung  because Kagame, who must be slowly coming to the realization that he has lost round one, has unleashed his methodic assassination of character on her person.

First came Mukuralinda , the lead prosecutor in Victoire Ingabire’s sham of a trial , a man who has numbed his conscience  but who will be tormented with bitter remorse on the day of reckoning .

Then came Evode Uwizeyimana , the man  who is credited for the assassination of the Rwandan constitution , who  not surprisingly overzealously rubbished Ingabire’s innocence.

 

Enter Tom Ndahiro, a hate mongered fanatic . Kagame ‘s chief bully and “ genocide expert researcher”.

The man who code named Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza IVU ( kinyarwanda for ashes ).

The man who was commissioned with Victoire Ingabire ‘s smear campaign since 2010.

Tom Ndahiro stopped at nothing . He attacked her mother , her husband and  her children.

Today , Kagame is saying through the same Tom Ndahiro that  there is no place for Victoire Ingabire on the political scene in Rwanda, “  it would be stoking / enabling genocide “ he says ( kwemerera Ingabire gukora politiki ye ni uguhembera Jenoside).

This basically means that every step Victoire Ingabire takes  towards the Political scene in Rwanda will not be permitted.

It is another very sad day for Rwanda.

In a recent interview with Rwandan Journalist  Jean Claude Mulindahabi , Victoire Ingabire had  begged anyone intending to fight Kagame by the gun to give peace a chance , to let her try to reason with RPF and put forward dialogue.

Her appeal for dialogue has obviously fallen on deaf ears.

Kagame has refused  to give peace a chance  and history will judge him most severely for this.

He will be responsible  for whatever happens now.
