When something is too good to be true , it usually is  better to stay away from it . But vanity has a way of of taking over  and Lord knows tyrants are rarely immune to flattery.

The  latest debacle in the greatlakes region , courtesy of  that French tip off regarding the latest Museveni assassination plot  can be summarized as such : the way to trap a monkey is to lure it with something shiny .

This would be a good time for Mushikiwabo  to re-think her OIF bid. But she will probably not , because as the logic of that trapping goes , once the monkey realizes it is trapped , it holds  on because it  is captivated by the shiny that it thinks it cannot have.
