The life of Christine Mbabazi Muhoza, the girlfriend of slain AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi, is in danger, it emerged Monday morning.

Mbabazi says she lives in fear of her life after strangers started sending her threats.

“These days I am compelled to switch off my phones,” said Mbabazi.

“Because people are calling me while scaring me that I will be killed.”

Most of the threats, according to relatives, were recorded this past Saturday.

Mbabazi is being guarded by Special Forces Command (SFC) on orders of President Museveni.

This followed a scuffle between ISO and Police at her residence in Lungujja, Kampala almost a fortnight ago.

Mbabazi is believed to have “high voltage” information in regard to Kaweesi’s killing on March 17 in Kulambiro, a dusty Kampala suburb.

The threats came at an unusual turn in Mbabazi’s life.

She was unknown until ChimpReports broke the news that her home was being raided by police.

But recently she has assumed a far more combative stance, saying she would not accept intimidation from security services to ‘frame’ Kayihura in the assassination of Kaweesi.

“I know that all this is intimidation from Lt Juuko of ISO,” said Mbabazi, adding, “But I thank God I am fine.”

Multiple sources say the president last week sent a considerable amount of money to Mbabazi for her upkeep as she had spent over a month in detention of ISO.

“Mbabazi complained to the president that visitors were not allowed at her residence and didn’t have food. She also said she was a victim of ulcers. The president sent her some small money,” said a close family friend briefed about the unfolding developments.

State House officials reassured Mbabazi that her problems would solve her problems including allowing access to visitors and friends.
