Former UPDF Spokesperson Col. Paddy Ankunda has been made head strategic communications at CMI headquarters in Mbuya

President Museveni has shuffled senior army officers in yet another shake-up, Chimp Corps report.

The new deployments affected the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence and Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Centre (URDCC) among others.

Maj Gen Okello has been transferred from URDCC to Joint Chief of Staff in charge of admission.

Brig Oluka moves from URDCC to Office of the Prime Minister while BRIG. David Wakaalo shifts from URDCC to Operation Wealth Creation.

Lt Col Temple Asiimwe will leave CMI to head Protocol.

Former army spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda will head strategic communications at CMI headquarters in Mbuya.

Interestingly, the Acting Director Operation Wealth Creation Lt Col Ddamulira will head Counter Intelligence at CMI.

Also important to note is the transfer of Col Kaija from OWC to head defense engagement at CMI.

Col Martin Ndyanabo will leave 5th Division headquarters to serve as head of Liaison DRC.

The reshuffle comes in the wake of a military reshuffle that saw many army chiefs including CDF Gen Katumba Wanyama redeployed.

Even the CMI boss Brig Charles Bakahumura was also redeployed.

The move follows a string of security lapses that has seen militants raid security installations and corruption rise its ugly head in defense procurement deals.
