US president Barack Obama is furious with his first born daughter, Malia, for smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette earlier this month.

A source close to the family revealed that the father of two is distressed by the First Daughter’s infamous ‘weed smoking’ picture – an image that has since gone viral, garnering negative publicity for the 18-year-old and her family.

“This is the president’s worst nightmare!” said a source, adding: “The end of his term is in sight — and the carefully crafted image of a world-beating family is unraveling right before his eyes!”

The ‘weed smoking’ scandal came hot on the heels of another public relations nightmare for the family, as the young Ms Obama was filmed ‘twerking and partying wildly’ at a much hyped music festival, Lollapalooza.

As if these two incidents were not worrying enough, Malia allegedly attended a rambunctious house party during the family’s summer vacation at Martha’s Vineyard – a bash that police raided because of complaints from neighbours.

Worried about the negative publicity his teenage daughter has been getting, Obama reportedly took Malia for a long walk – private father-daughter time where he confronted her about her actions.

“I’m sure he had some choice words for his daughter during that walk they took,” the source said.

The First family has remained mum in the face of the negative reports.

Malia graduated is scheduled to join top Ivy League University, Harvard after graduating from Sidwell Friends in Washington, DC.
