Rwanda is an East African country whose green, mountainous landscape has earned it the nickname “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Its renowned Volcanoes National Park is home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. Bordering Congo and Uganda, the park encompasses 4,507m-tall Mt. Karisimbi and 4 other forested volcanoes. Kigali, the nation’s capital, has a vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene.

Despite the beautiful landscape, bad events happened. Genocide began, President Juvenal Habyarimana had died and that murderer Paul Kagame took his place. Paul Kagame made Rwanda suffer just because he wanted to overthrow the Hutu government and eliminate the Royal Family: it’s not just that Kagame only wanted to do this, his ancestors had done the same too, as lots of females of the Abega family had married most of the Kings of Rwanda, meaning that Kagame remains a cousin to the king.

For 21 years, innocent Citizens of Rwanda have had to desert their homes just because of Kagame, Tutsi family’s have left the country in order to keep themselves safe from the brutal genocide causer Paul Kagame, who even failed to allow the return of King Kigeli.

Although these unlucky events happened, I bet that before 1994 Rwanda was one of the most wonderful countries in Africa.
