LOVE FOR MOTHERLAND
The spirit of love to country, respect to its countrymen-women and determination to lead the country to a better future is totally lost in Rwanda. Of recently the minister of ICT under the RPF regime dared to call upon the youths to protect one’s personal interest – Kagame’s personal interest. Under subversion intrusive motives, the minister ignorantly failed to differentiate between a country’s interest and Kagame’s interest. As usual, in a Machiavellian closed state, a ruler is more important than the nation. A ruler turns into a state, as he/she is idolised by the oppressed masses, thus making Autocracy the house game!
There is an English proverb saying that history always repeats itself, we are now witnessing all sorts of violence, ethnical separations, inter and intra group conflicts, political apathy and politics with narrow-dimension, starting to role us to a dark age again. The older generation of Rwandans are surprised as to why they can’t see any single spirit of patriotism among its youths – in politics, in intelligentsia and in revolution cries.
Patriotism, the determination for owning our country, the spirit to stand and face all odds to liberate a country, the love and emotion for motherland, everything has been lost under the RPF regime. The problem is that we Rwandans are not able to define our identity clearly; we have hanged ourselves under the labyrinth of several dogmas and doctrines like Tutsism, Hutuism, secularism, communalism, regionalism and religious sects. But the simple doctrine of patriotism has remained forgotten and buried in the history of Rwandan hymns.
When United States President Barak Obama said in a campaign, “America is not a bunch of individuals nor blue states or white states but it’s the United State of America.” The spirit of patriotism clearly sparked from his speech and Americans showed this integrity in their action plan for the Country. But Rwanda’s political leaders are very ready to cut and divide Rwandans in an ethnical based analogy or regional based politics. The spirit of love for the Country, respect to its countrymen and women are a thing of the past.
We are living now in an era of globalisation and to stand stead in such a World we need to first recognise ourselves, our precious culture, original and innovative, traditional and be united especially against RPF’s Autocracy. Rwanda is full of traditional resources, but rarely any action is taken to develop these and market them wisely. Instead, we are engaged in marketing sad and painful events like the genocide, through negative sales techniques, the RPF exorcist are exposing remains of our loved ones. Our politicians and bureaucrats are not able to bring out our originality and deploy those exhaustively to influence national unity. An intense patriotism and loving search of Rwanda only can save us from being exploited by the scrupulous RPF regime and its maligned tendencies.
Respective regimes have sang to the obedient masses that they have secured their freedom, but still we are trapped in a cycle of autocratic regimes which have failed to adopt to all principles of human rights, muscled democracy and destroyed all social cohesions. Previous regimes and particularly the RPF regime, have all failed to neither invest in unifying the Country nor deploy our cultural treasures in the unifying processes. Our educated mass remains apathetic to problems and pains of the country. Within Rwanda, the brain washing in particular, which the youth undergo in education system does not create scopes to discover patriotism, neither for inculcated human values or love for the mother land. Youths have allowed political vultures to determine their destiny.
As RNC youths are preparing for a national Congress gathering in Europe; it’s a high time that youths rediscover their patriotism stardom, once again conquering their destination, patriotism attitude and motherland love. Which have all been suffocated by the RPF regime and their enablers. Now and then, youths needs to be galvanised in the struggle of liberations, especially so, if a particular group is living under a totalitarian regime.
The youth ought to know that they are the problem, the stumbling block and the missing link in Rwanda’s dispensation of a democratic environment. Paul Kagame and his marauding RPF totalitarian regime are absolutely nothing without the youths. Youths, where should your loyalty be, to Rwanda or a despotic president? These are simple questions yet carry very deep meaning which needs to be reflected upon.
In Rwanda, when one takes oath of duty, they swear to defend the flag, the constitution and the country. You don’t swear any single oath of protecting and defending a president against all odds, then why blindly loyal to a totalitarian president at the detriment of the constitution. Why do youth watch and support a corrupt president taking advantage of masses, abducting them, incarcerating them, unjustifiably imprisoning them, torturing them and killing them without due process of the law? Youth, why do you allow a corrupt president flout the laws of the land, dictate the judiciary with total disregard and impunity? At the rate in which the constitution is being manipulated, soon Rwanda will be declared a Kingship, if not yet one!!
As the RNC Youth congress in Europe nears, my challenge to those youths who continuously allow to be used by a dying regime, what is your gain in all these!! Why do you allow a dictator use you in suppressing democratic voices and civil right movements? Monitory incentives should not define who you are!! Unless debited in obeys of Satanism and self-denial. But as Mehta Gandhi noted, “truth always prevails despite all obstacles and hindrances imperialist minds.” In case of Rwanda, truth will prevail against the totalitarian regime.
In December 2010, under the clouts of severe winter, a movement by the name of RNC was born in Washington; the movement has reliantly never looked back despite external challenges thrown at it by the totalitarian regime in Kigali. The founding members of this organisation argued that, “Rwandans have never had the opportunity to fully realize their aspirations for freedom, security and prosperity.” The forthcoming RNC youth congress in Europe will place all its velvet on this assertion. The whole mark of truth, integrity, love for the country, unity and renewal in patriotism ethics, will be debated and discussed, as we challenge different panellists about the Rwanda of tomorrow.
Youths, Rwanda is crying unequivocal liberation cries, and it’s our patriotic duty to heed to the request!! Love for country works as a backbone of the nation. Without personal sacrifices, how can we then liberate our nation from Paul Kagame’s despotic rule?
GOD BLESS US ALL
