The Untold Stories: Freedom is not free, Makuza Tells Rwandans
While officiating on the official burial ceremony of the remains of the genocide against the Tutsis, Senate President Bernard Makuza challenged Rwandans to always strive for their dignity. This is the first time the Man regarded as a silent man but firm on his principles mentions freedom in Rwanda. Although, he refused to apologize for the acts of his father who Kagame and RPF spin doctors accuse of mass killings in 1950s, RPF was reluctant to throw him out.
In the Kagame project of “ Ndi Umunyarwanda” headed by the youthful greedy Bamporiki Eduard was ordered to apologize on behalf of all the HUTUS and his father in particular which Makuza rejected as he said that a crime is personal not only in the Rwandan law but also as a matter of moral principle.
RPF‘s political propaganda has been built on the Rwandan tragedy in which Tutsis were massacred by their fellow Rwandans ,every year RPF machinery organizes these burials to silence all political opponents who demand political space in Rwanda.
Castigating the bad leadership that orchestrated the Genocide, Makuza said the massacres did not happen spontaneously but rather it was a result of a well-crafted plan, right from the top of the country’s leadership structures. While Makuza might be right, he forgets to tell the Rwandans and the international community the spark that ignited the fire of Genocide.
We all know that while political environment was all ripe for the Genocide, the RPF under the command of Paul Kagame ordered the shooting of the official Presidential Jet of Habyarimana in which his Burundian counterpart Cyprian Ntaryaramira lost his life.
Similarly, Makuza is also not saying that stopping the Genocide did not stop other killings by the RPF forces in which they did not even spare kids, priests, and other innocent civilians who have not been given a decent burial. The killing of the Rwandan Bishops in Gakurazo has not only been kept silent but they have not even been given a decent burial.
“We should strive to achieve what they strived for to have Rwanda as a country where every Rwandan lives with freedom, and have equal opportunities in this beautiful country of ours,” he said.
Mr. Makuza is misleading the Rwandan people; in fact the death of all the Rwandans in Genocide was in vain, because we have total anarchy in Rwanda, the RPF regime has killed more people than all the previous regimes combined. Media is suffocated without mercy to even international Media like BBC which was recently closed by RURA.
The RPF now is forcing people to sign for the petition of Kagame to change the Constitution, all the people are in RPF MOVEMENT, know or unknown many Rwandans privately are against this move of changing the constitution.
All the Rwandan leaders should stay warned that many Rwandans will resist this constitutional coup in particular and will defend the Article 101, which says that under no circumstances shall the President seek more than two terms.
“Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed”
Martin Luther King,Jr.
We shall uprightly emulate our sisters in Burundi and elsewhere on the Continent who have stood firm against oppressors, but we should also learn from Martin Luther King Jr. “We should never forget that everything Adolf Hitler did in Germany was “legal” and everything the Hungarian freedom fighters did in Hungary was “illegal.” It was “illegal” to aid and comfort a Jew in Hitler’s Germany. Even so, I am sure that, had I lived in Germany at the time, I would have aided and comforted my Jewish brothers. If today I lived in a Communist country where certain principles dear to the Christian faith are suppressed, I would openly advocate disobeying that country’s antireligious laws”.
As Kagame manipulates the Rwandans to sign the Petitions for his constitutional coup, we should tell him that we shall advocate disobeying what he and RPF call Rwandan laws.
