These come days after Kizza Besigye, ousted City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and Mubarak Munyagwa (Kawempe Division Mayor) among others were put under preventive arrests at their respective homes amid tight security.

Sources within the security told us that they trailed Besigye from his home in Kasangati but disappeared mid way after he changed cars.

“We followed his car after realizing he had left home. He took his usual root to the City Center but turned off from Kubiri roundabout to the Mulago roundabout,”

It was from the Mulago roundabout that Besigye disappeared from the eyes of the security officers.

According to boda boda riders of Mulago stage, Besigye jumped down off his white Toyota Land Cruiser, then entered another grey Toyota Premio taking Yusulf Lule road while his driver Kato drove to Kamwokya.

This confused the security team who instead followed Besigye’s car only to be informed by boda boda cyclists who had seen Besigye get into a different car.

According to reports, Besigye was being waited for by opposition Members of Parliament led by Paul Mwiru at the Parliamentary gate in order for him to be welcomed as a guest and to block possible commotions that could arise on seeing the former FDC boss at the gate.

It is from the Parliamentary gate that Besigye was then joined by Erias Lukwago and Mubarak Munyangwa who according to reports were from Katonga road based Opposition offices.
