This happy couple in Kenya did not have what would be seen as a conventional wedding for one very key reason: he’s a ridiculously huge United fan. And when we say huge, we mean huge.
Yes, the couple enjoyed (or rather, he enjoyed) a United-themed wedding which was all about the club he supports, right down to the altar, the groom’s outfit – and even the cake!

Bizarrely, the United cake consisted of red icing with huge ads for car sponsor Chevrolet. Yes, utterly unique, we’ll all agree.

3) KEEPER’S LONGEST GOAL EVER – Begovic credited with longest goal in history of football
Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic‘s remarkable long-range goal against Southampton last season has earned a place in the Guinness World Records book.
Begovic scored in bizarre fashion at the Britannia Stadium last November when a long kick forward – just 13 seconds after kick-off – caught the wind and then bounced over opposite number Artur Boruc into the net.
The strike was measured at 91.9 metres (301ft 6in) and has now been registered as the ‘longest goal scored in football’ in the latest edition of the famous book of records.
4) FREE MUSHROOMS? FREE MUSHROOMS? – Non-league club hand out mushrooms to fans
Mushrooms (Reuters)
This may seem ridiculous, but Suffolk non-league side Bungay Town are actually offering free punnets of mushrooms to fans who attend their home match against Martham on Saturday.
The offer is part of Non-League Day, when clubs try to boost fan numbers, and this could well work. If the fans happen to like mushrooms, that is.
“We have a supplier of mushrooms so we thought ‘Why not? The former chairman is a mushroom grower’,” vice-chairman Shaun Cole told BBC Sport.
5) YOU PAID WHAT, MIKE? – Newcastle owner paid just £1 for Ibrox naming rights
Ibrox Stadium (PA Sport)
Wow, that Mike Ashley, eh. Rangers sold the naming rights for Ibrox Stadium to Newcastle and the Sports Direct owner for just £1 two years ago, it has been revealed.
The contract was reportedly struck with ex-Rangers chief executive Charles Green as part of a commercial deal that left Ashley in control of the retail department.
Ashley has a stake of around 5% in the Ibrox club and is understood to be looking to increase his shareholding. Well, why wouldn’t he when he’s picking up bargains like t-shirts out of a Sports Direct bin?
