Inyenyeri News has learnt from the reliable sources that Gen. Frank Rusagara has been put under confinement in the notorious Kanombe Barracks on accusations of sabotage, collaborating with what the Kigali regime calls the enemy, and engaging in actions that could harm the security of the state.

However, President Paul Kagame has traditionally harassed and exterminated people who are related to the people he calls the enemies of the State.  People who don’t share the same ideology with RPF and Kagame’s philosophy of killing whoever disagrees with him. Accordingly, Gen Frank Rusagara happens to be the brother in law of Dr. David Himbara the former Kagame presidential advisor and close confidant.

As he said on many occasions, that those who will not succumb to his doctrine of physical extermination will face serious consequences, and those still at large is a just a matter of time. It is not therefore surprising that the incarceration of Gen. Frank Rusagara has been overdue and to many people who know the Kagame’s behavior it did not come as a surprise. Indeed it was a matter of time since the falling apart of Dr. David Himbara with the Kigali clique.

The departure of Gen. Kayumba Nyamwasa,followed the harassment of his family even his old father, and the arrest of his brother Col. Rugigana ngabo who has been in prison on concocted charges.  The list of many Rwandans who have been persecuted for only being related to what Kagame calls his enemies is quite disbursing; indeed, the passports of the relatives of Kigali dissents were canceled. Therefore this is a trend that will not spare any Critics of the Rwandan authorities. Gen. Frank Rusagara is now his turn as Gen Kayumaba said some time back. As I have mentioned above Kagame’s regime has harassed, intimidated and imprisoned all relatives of those Kagame calls his enemies, therefore even who are still at large is a matter of time.

Inyenyerinews had learnt a few months ago that the meeting which was attended by Gen Karenzi, Gen Kabarebe and Gen Jack Nziza discussed on Gen Rusagara’s continued criticisms against the government, and speaking to those who are against the government. He was warned not to speak to the known enemies of the nation. However being that the enemies are at the same time family members of so many in the government Gen Rusagara has now became one of the victims.

Gen Frank Rusagara served as the secretary of defence, he also served as military attache in the United Kingdom, also known to have served in different capacities in the RPA and later RDF. prior to his arrest he was working as part of the intellectuals who regulary seen in communities explaining Ndumunyarwanda, Is a PHD holder and known to have written a number of books on Rwanda history and Africa in general
