RIP: Four Ugandan Soldiers Killed In The Recent Attack On Somali Parliament Says Uganda
The government has confirmed that three of its soldiers to have been killed in the recent Al-shabab’s terror hit on the Somali national assembly building in Mogadishu.
Major Deo Akiki, Ugandan troops spokesman said that three Ugandan soldiers has been killed in the recent deadly attack on the Somali parliament building amid the assembly were in their normal meeting.
An ambush attack carried out by Al-shabab radicals has knocked the front gate of the building of the Somali parliament causing a car loaded with explosives to go off at the gate and security guards and Al-shabab fighters to engage in gunfire confrontations. The security guards held the militants back and hours later killed all of them apart from two, who exploded at the gate. Akiki added that four other Ugandan soldiers were also injured.
The spokesman said that 11 al-shabab attackers were also killed.
He said that four Somali police officers were killed in the attack where several other were injured. Also some members of the parliament were reported to have been injured in the attack.
This deadly terror attack came nearly after the parliament of Somalia called President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to step down since he failed in his appointed responsibility
