M7: We need Youth That Are Ideologically Mature

Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni has revealed that whereas it’s important for Africa to invest more in the youth, the continent needs young people who are ideologically mature.
The president revealed this on Thursday during the formal opening ceremony of the ongoing 49th African Development Bank Group Annual Meeting in the Rwandan capital, Kigali.
“When we speak about youth,it should not just be about biology. It should be about ideology” President Museveni said during the session discussing the theme “HAVE YOUR SAY: DIALOGUE WITH LEADERS”
“You can be young but have no ideas” the president added, drawing loud applause from the audience.
The panel included; host President Paul Kagame, Uganda’s Yoweri Museveni, Gabon’s President Bongo and Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto.
The president who arrived in Kigali on Thursday morning was received this morning at Kigaliinternational Airport by Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Louise Mwishikiwabo, Minister of Local Government James Musoni, Uganda’s Ambassador to Rwanda Richard Kabonero, Rwanda’s Ambassador to Uganda Gen Mugambagye and other Government officials.
President Museveni singled out; Modern Agriculture, Industry (both big and small), services, ICT and public services as key areas he feels can create job opportunities for the youth in Africa.
Museveni added that Africa is capable of achieving much saying “Africa is a place of miracles, this is where you have growth without infrastructure. That shows you the potential of Africa”
Kenya’s Deputy president William Ruto emphasized the need to give Africa’s young people quality education that can enrich their skills.
The host, president Paul Kagame called for focus on implementing respective transformational national agendas, based on the aspirations of citizens, to ensure that healthy parts working together for more productive partnerships in Africa.
Kagame’s enemies are intellectuals. I don’t know how and when some of African countries will develop without educated youths.They prefer worthless societe!
